  • Honolulu, Hawaii (for inter-island cruises)

Who Should Go:

Hawaii Highlights:

  • Fantastic sunbathing, swimming, body-boarding, surfing and kite-surfing
  • Volcanoes National Park – a stark and beautiful landscape of cooled – and sometimes flowing – lava
  • Golf courses with amazing views of the ocean
  • Incredible underwater features formed by lava – great for scuba diving
  • Waimea Canyon, the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific”
  • A visit to Pearl Harbor is an especially moving experience for visitors of any age

Good to Know:

On a cruise to Hawaii, you’re likely to call on one non-U.S. port. Due to the Passenger Vessel Services Act of 1886, foreign-flagged ships cannot transport passengers from one U.S. port to another without making at least one stop at a foreign port. This is the reason that many cruise ships departing from Los Angeles or San Diego make a stop in Ensenada, Mexico, on the way to or from Hawaii.

Foreign-flagged ships that sail inter-island cruises in Hawaii usually call on Fanning Atoll to the south, but these cruise itineraries are rare.

One U.S.-flagged ship – Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America – is able to sail inter-island cruises without calling elsewhere.

About Us

Diana Whiteside

I am Diana Whiteside, owner of Cruise Holidays of Northwest Austin.

I have been a resident of Austin since we moved here when I was in second grade, so I consider myself a native. After graduating from high school in Austin I went on to Texas A&M and received my Bachelors Degree in Education. I returned to Austin where I became a teacher and raised my family.

During that time my family and I cruised often so it didn't take long for me to make a transition to becoming a business owner of a travel agency.

Though we are called Cruise Holidays of Northwest Austin, we plan other land vacations for our clients. Over the past eight years we have planned trips all over the world.
